Become a Dream Maker, not just a Dreamer

There are 6.5 billion people in the world, and every one of them has a dream, an ambition, or vision– as we say to one another. Ask yourself, how many of these people realise their dreams? Then, scale it down to an individual level; and ask yourself if you are realizing your dream? You would discover that many are not, because their dreams remain dreams, nothing more, nothing less.

Dreams are good, but dreams that remain in the head or heart, are just dreams. It’s Time to Unleash Your Greatness by turning your dream into action. Dreamers have limitations; they never move from being dreamers. Rather, become a Dream Maker– one who puts into action what he has dreamt. If you have conviction of your Dream, then the only options are to Pursue or Procrastinate. The distance between dreaming and realisation of a dream is RISK. Those who procrastinate never achieve. Those who pursue, always achieve far above their expectation. Thought and Profit are far apart. Their reunion, rather bridge, is risk, persistence, endurance, and innovative action. Nine out of ten times, a Leopard does not get its prey, but have you ever heard of a leopard that died of hunger?

Africa does not need a cure for HIV/AIDS more than it needs a cure for Procrastination. It is a land of vast economic opportunity, but has been degraded by Dreaming Procrastinators, more than it has been by HIV/AIDS. For the sake of our economic future, let us fear dreaming without action, more than we fear HIV/AIDS, because the former is the cause of the latter. Those who procrastinate always give up on life, and resort to promiscuous lifestyles – HIV the benefactor.

Choose to take risk. Dare to be different. The sweetness of honey is in the smoky risk taken by the bee keeper. Dream Making is nothing more than acting upon your belief in your prosperous future. Each day, choose to take steps that will build a momentum for your dream to be realised.

To your greatness
