Managing Fear

Perhaps the biggest limitation that humans face is fear. Fear freezes the flow of ideas, torments and disables. We just cannot afford to sacrifice the future on the altar of fear. Until we move beyond our fear we will never grow. Snakes shed when they grow too big for their skin, comparable to the way humans outgrow clothing. Read more

The snake is a symbol of wisdom for many. The Bible exhorts us to be as wise as serpents (snakes) and gentle as doves. Snakes have many intriguing qualities. The one important quality of snakes which I find particularly intriguing is the habit of shedding of the old skin. Unlike many other animals, snakes shed their skin periodically. While most creatures simply shed skin cells or hair, a snake actually rids itself of its skin in one continuous piece, a procedure that can be likened to removing a sock. Read more
