Going for broke is a popular phrase that is used to indicate going for something in an all out effort. In any known successful endeavour we know that there are no half-hearted champions. To unleash greatness once we know what we are about we have to go for broke – to give our all in pursuit of our purposes.
Everything that we do is a risk. To sit and wait for change is to risk things never changing. To doubt and vacillate is to risk the loss of our dreams. To procrastinate is to risk losing precious time. True greatness comes when we throw all that we have got to our dreams and we pursue them until they are begging for mercy.

What we see depends on what we are looking for and where we are looking. Greatness is determined by our ability to look beyond a number of things. We can only grow as high as we dare to reach; we can only go as far as we seek; we can only see as far was we dare to look and we can only become what we dare to dream. Most great people are confident self-assured individuals. A good number of them have dominating personalities; they are highly assertive individuals who are not willing to settle for less than they think they deserve. These people know themselves and where they are going. They are usually not wiling to tolerate time wasters and slow movers who think that the world owes them a living.
On the other hand many timid and non-assertive people think that great people are proud and impatient. The non-achievers usually mask their jealousy through bitter and unjustified criticism. They feel that the great are mean, proud and arrogant. Usually, however, this is not the case. My experience has been that most great people are humble, warm and caring people. It is simply that a lot of people do not know them well enough. Read more
